Welding arc is a welding power supply, in a certain voltage, electrode (or welding wire, electrode end) between the workpiece and the strong and lasting discharge phenomenon. The essence of welding arc is the conduction of gas. That is, the neutral gas in the space where the arc is located is decomposed into positively charged positive ions and negatively charged electrons under a certain voltage, which is called ionization. These two charged particles move towards the poles respectively, so that local gas conducts electricity to form an arc. Arcs convert electrical energy into heat, heating and melting metal to form welded joints.
